Power of Youth was set up in 2011 in response to the desperate need for rapid social change to meet the new challenges that we are facing in the global economy, the environment and in the imbalanced distribution of resources and opportunities.
POY was founded on the simple idea that entrepreneurs are some of the most powerful and influential members of society as they have the drive and capabilities to build ideas into action and make opportunity from challenges.
POY was then set up to harness this power so that it can be driven by a purpose greater than profit so that entrepreneurs are able to take the lead and responsibility for building a healthy economy that supports all and sustainable and agile ecosystems that nurture all.
